So i was layin in my theater watchin a movie and my freind calls me sayin, how much gas do you have in your car... well my fuel light came on lastnight on the way home from the gym but i was too tired and hungry so I just came home..... my freind says, get your butt up to the BP in town they have the pumps messed up and are only charging .367 for premium gas instead of the advertised 3.67.... so I jump up, throw on some shoes and speed up there....filled the bimmer up, 18 gallons for 6 dollars, then came home, got the ole 91 chevy and my gas can and headed back up there... guess what!! still havent caught it yet, filled up my truck and my 5 gallon gas can a total of 29 gallons for 10.04 I also was able to get 4 freinds up there in time to get in on it too, then I went to a freinds house and got his truck cuz he couldnt leave his house due to his kids, but by the time I got back up there in his truck they had JUST fixed it.... there was someone else I knew pumping and he was still gettin the .367 but the pumps had all been reset while he was mid pump... I was that close to getting 3 vehicles out of it.... Oh well...... Thought everyone would get a kick out of that... OH and the BEST.. my freind who originally called me came up there in his truck with his 125 gallon racing fuel drum which happend to be empty, he filled that up for about 45 bucks!!!!!!!

yeah someone got ripped but just to let you know the service stations arent owned by the companies they advertise. the majority are owned individually by people that can barely make a living on them hence the reason why station are starting to close around the country. It is what it is just not great if it where you. Everyone is hurting becuase of fuel and the asshats on the hill want to give you 300 bucks instead of keeping that money and lowering the taxes on the fuel..

I didnt break any laws!! like patriotpa said, if they mark it at that price they have to sell it at that price so I bought alot of it, say what you want, I got about 165 dollars worth of gas for 16 bucks today and I couldnt be happier...... now go sit yourself down in your recliner and drink some more haterade

Lawdawg, give me a break...you're one of the family here now so you gotta take it from your brothers. You did something without really thinking it thru or were simply just uninformed and got caught up in the fervor. You're probably a really honest and decent guy and are probably about now (if you're human) wondering if it was such a good idea. I think by your message title that you probably did sincerely think that you were evening up the score directly with the oil company and probably didn't know the station is really privately owned...not that that really makes a difference technically.

Now I'm sure you don't want me to start telling you the story of the gas station owner that has this poor little crippled son that needs expensive medical treatment and now he has to sell one of his crutches to help dad make rent on the station. Oh, that's right, Ashley took the decent part so please disregard the above story.

BTW, on a personal note from much experience, most times when I get bitter about someone stealing my heart or anything else I have to get past thinking that they owe me something like an apology or retribution in order to move forward. So now the gas station owner feels like everyone involved owe's him something so now he's bitter...I know you understand how that feels. Additionally, those that don't feel their own pain don't know when they're inflicting it on others.

Why am I not surprised you drive a BMW and speed? You can afford your own theater but go out of your way steal from others. You knew what the advertised price was. You ARE a thief.
Around here BP is one of the cheaper dealers. I would hate to be barred from buying gas from a local dealer who chooses to only charge a few pennies over cost.

To the LETTER of the law, not the INTENT. LEGALLY you did nothing wrong. MORALLY you did a bad thing.

The ethical thing to do here, even though LEGALLY you did nothing wrong, would be to go to that station, ask to speak to the owner, and reimburse him for the fuel at the correct price, in cash. You would have bought it anyway, so you're not out any money, and you will have actually HELPED a small business owner who is trying to make a living. I'm sure the station owner is worrying about how he will make up for a shortfall. To him, it's the same as someone stealing $X worth of merchandise. He has to take the loss.

It's bad enough to be a thief - but to be a thief and brag about it on this forum is really low. And for someone pretending to be in law enforcement, that's scraping down among the bottom feeders.

LawDawg, if you really are proud of how you ripped-off the gas station owner, why on earth do you choose to wear a badge? Or does that tell us something about the kind of people out there wearing badges nowadays?

I know that most cops are not like that - but it does show that not all agencies screen well.
