hy, a guy offered this to me and stated this was for a browning 1917 tripod, but it also could be for a vickers tripod
does anyone knows what this is for, and to witch tripod this belongs too

John that is for the 1917A1 tripod and it is the earlier version with the gas bottle knobs and very desirable for us Browning nuts, let me now if you find more as I am interested. Russ

Buy it or send me the link, those are the early 17a1 knobs on there. Been wanting those to match my westinghouse 17a1.

Russ, i wil keep you in mind, i wil proberly start selling more parts here and on gunbroker
as soon as i know more i wil get back to you, i hope i can even buy more then just that one
regards from the land filled with windmills, cheese, tulips, wooden shoes and that hallucinatory green stuff..... lol.

Just want to inform some of the newer guys. John (master22) is a Dutch citizen and deals mainly in parts and pieces for the many type of firearms the US left in europe after both WW1 and WW2. He is a stand-up guy and I have delt with him for several years. He is a man of his word and his reputation is good on many firearms sites he deals on. The newer guys may not have seem John's many post on here and gunbroker.

for you people on the forum who know me, i slowed down selling on greedbay
but here ,s a list of stuff i stil have
30 cal tripods ww2 dated and made, complete with T&E and pintle
legs for these tripods, both left and rigth
small parts for the tripods, sliding bushes, T&E bars, etc, etc
also have mortar bipod legs, both for US 60mm and 81 mm bipods
new packed ww2 dated yoke/mainframes for 60mm mortar, dated 1945 **** new packed ****
bipod legs for the recoiless M57, in very nice condition.
cone flashiders for 1917 browning *** new packed***
blank firing adapters for 1919 browning *** new packed ***
small parts for m2hb, like the small extractor piece, *** new packed ***
1919a4 top covers *** new packed ***
1919a4 barrel extension *** new packed ***
1919a4 top cover latch ***new packed ***
1919a4 coversion chute,s for 22 cal *** new packed ***
1919a6 clip lock booster bearing, *** new ***
some M2 trunions
and... for all the M2HB fans... i stil have some complete M1 AA tripods available, these come with the tripod, centerpipe with brass bushing, and cradle complete
as i believe compagnies like numrich only have the tripods available, but not the actuall cradle,
for so far this "shopping list", iff you need ore looking for something, just let me know,
i helped out a lott of folks from this forum in the past years
