I am getting a FN30 kit without the front and rear sights. Can you use a 1919a4 sight on the FN30? I have a source for the rear sight base and leaf can you use the 1919a4 rear site parts to complete it or should I just install a 1919a4 rear sight and bracket and be done with it? Or if anyone has a source for a complete rear and front site for the FN30

Luke, You can use the FN30 rear base and 1919 site components and it would be very hard to tell unless it was closely examined. The windage knob style and ladder markings are the only real difference. Many of the kits from OOW had a stripped fn30 base and 1919 30-06 site parts.

The sights are interchangeable. as DRH stated only marking and type of windage knob differs

Thanks guys because I found a front sight, I got the rear sight base and if I need to I will use the parts from a 1919a4 rear sight to complete it. Without the internet and all the help from others who post here these projects would be very difficult to complete. I found a source for the rear site that is for a 1919a4 but that will have to be fine.
