I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times, but my search brings up nothing and the link identification link (pun, I know) is not working.

I have Izzy links with Hebrew markings and a few unmarked links ID'd as "WWII 30-06" at a gun show, and I can't tell a difference. They are identical to the naked eye, except for a little rust and no markings on the "30-06" links. They both seat the same with 7.62 NATO rounds, and the "WWII 30-06" links feed and eject fine by hand in an Israeli 1919a4. I can post pics if needed.

The .308 casing is slightly larger in diameter than the .30-06 casing. The conventional wisdom is that Izzy links are likewise larger in diameter than USGI links. That said, my experience has been the same as yours. In my Laminatrap linker I can't tell the difference. Maybe someone out there with pristine examples of both can mic them and settle the argument.

So is this lip at the bottom of the small ring the difference between 30-06 on the left and Israeli on the right? Of course, the Hebrew markings, too.

Can I provide a pic to go into the dead link from the home page?
