I have two lock frames and have questions on both. First one of them has two large cutouts on the right side and one on the left, It almost looks cheap and flimsy. also both of them dont have that press in short dowel on the right side just right of the trigger bar, you know the one that most people put that little tack weld in so It wont fall out. theres not even a hole there for one to go in. Will these even work? do they have to go with a particular barrel extension to work? because Im thinking of mixing some up with different parts. Thanks!

Sounds like you have examples of the cast lock frames. The round pin that usually gets tacked on is the accelerator stop. On these cast ones, there is a notch built in, eliminating the need for the stop to be riveted as a separate component. Saginaw produced these as part of their ongoing efforts to speed up and lower costs of manufacture. There are three distinct styles of cast lock frames I know of. In addition to the WWII Saginaw style, there are two versions which may be late production, around the M37 production period. One is for sure, but I can't document the other. No mfg markings exist in samples I have seen, and it may be one was SAK and the other RIA mfg. That's just a guess.
