With all the stuff going on in Kosovo lately, I have been keeping tabs on it since I did a couple tours there years ago. I was looking through some photos of it on yahoo and I came across these two of some Portuguese soldiers. Does the gun they are using look familiar to anyone here??? ;) It should, it's our beloved 1919A4!! Nice to know she's still out there kicking [email protected]#! :D

Did anybody notice that those babies are in the beloved original 30-06 (hint: look at the booster orifice)??

One thing about using a 1919A4 over a Ma on that size vehicle is the 1919 is shorter and you can swing it in a smaller arc and shoot it with one hand if you have to reach around.

Kinda makes ME wonder why they aren't using a bigger bore weapon like Ma Deuce, though. Good point about the weight. When it's mounted on armor, I'd rather have more than I needed!
Maybe because of the current ammo shortage. They're probably getting some from CMP (the only game in the world)
