With all the stuff going on in Kosovo lately, I have been keeping tabs on it since I did a couple tours there years ago. I was looking through some photos of it on yahoo and I came across these two of some Portuguese soldiers. Does the gun they are using look familiar to anyone here??? It should, it's our beloved 1919A4!! Nice to know she's still out there kicking [email protected]#!

Kinda makes ME wonder why they aren't using a bigger bore weapon like Ma Deuce, though. Good point about the weight. When it's mounted on armor, I'd rather have more than I needed!

Did anybody notice that those babies are in the beloved original 30-06 (hint: look at the booster orifice)??

One thing about using a 1919A4 over a Ma on that size vehicle is the 1919 is shorter and you can swing it in a smaller arc and shoot it with one hand if you have to reach around.
