Thanks everyone for your responses. I have my tube about done and I'm just starting to work on the programs to do the trunnion and end cap. I have studied the diagrams on the browningmgs site at length and they are a huge help.
You know the old saying, " A picture is worth a thousand words". I have machined a lot of old airplane parts for customers where I had the original 1940's drawings and whenever I also have the original part or a photo of it the job seems to go easier. It always helps to know " what it looks like".
