I'd like to find a penn arms or something similar(single shot), I saw one on GB, but i thought it may be to much. I'm new to the 37mm thing so let me know whats good and whats not, I couldnt get the 37mm site to work. If anybody has one they'd like to get rid of I may consider buying or trading a 22 pistol and supressor for it.

I have a friend that has one mounted on an original Colt AR 15,, M203 style. I know he wants to sell the whole rig, but don't know if he wants to seperate it,,, what is too much? I have no idea what they are worth or going for,, if I had a number to throw at him he might sell it. PM me if you want to give me a number.
He has had it since the eighties,, can't remember the mfg, but it is first rate. He fired a few of the multi piece plastic rounds,, he still has a few left,, worked great.

cobray

I paid 300.00 something for mine a year ago.Defective when delivered.Tube which attaches to barrel was welded out of alighnment with receiver.Cut it off and rewelded. So far out on up down axis would not lock into battery.Did'nt ***** or anything thing just fixed it.Something to do with boredom?I'll bet they would have fixed it if I gave them the chance. They did a great job on a Street sweeper I "used to own".Good lawn mower ,but its someone elses problem now.good luck.http://www.freewebs.com/grog/this is the remains of 37mm.com.

37 mm

My advise is to find something made out of steel not aluminum.
If your going to make your own rounds for it or shoot factory flare or smoke rounds, you want something that has more metal around the end were the chamber is.
The aluminum copy's of the M203 made by Cobray are probably the cheapest.
I wouldn't go with one if you planned on using it alot or for shooting home made rounds.
There is a guy selling them on Sturm. in case you want one anyway.

I like the Federal Gas gun myself.
Looks nice breaks open like a shotgun.
It has a nice thick chamber area.
It has a wood stock.
It's kind of looks like a cross between a lever action 30/30 , a shot gun , and a thumper.

I would always try and keep my hand off of the Barrel when firing for safety reasons.

Just my .02 worth.
Be safe

I was looking for one that breaks open like a shotgun. I dont own an ar to attach the 203 type to. The penn arms L1 is kinda like that , but it has a folding stock and ghost sights.

I talked to my friend,, his is off the AR,,, actually a CAR,, Colt,, pre-ban. It was MFG'ed by Tapco in the eighties,, I believe steel construction. One of the first put out in 37mm. He paid around $400 at the time. He will sell it seperate,, just sitting in the safe.

Sniper258,
there are currently 3 high quality launchers on gun broker
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=84123373
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=84123598
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=85133398 this one is a bit short barreled
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=85057828m a pistol
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=84829566 an OLD classic

you are aware that you can only have gas ,pyro (flare ,smoke ) rounds and a launcher NO anti Personal rounds (foam batons ,rubber balls ,rubber shot wood batons ,wood pellets or bean bag rounds ) possesion of a launcher and AP rounds constitute a DD unless you have your launcher papered as a DD which you CAN do if you wish $200 tax stamp
