Have had a wood cook stove in the family since the mid 1970's. It is now in my basement. We use it for supplemental heat if the power goes off and I cook on it occasionally. It makes great french bread. Interested in having it restored to its original glory. There is some sheet metal rot on the front panel, the warmer doors were painted flat black years ago, and we never did have the legs/stand. If one of you has a contact you trust who does such work I would appreciate the referral. Thanks!

Room Wood-burning stove

Sorry about the photo. No clue why it is laying on its side or why there are two. It is right side up on my end.

Just as a follow up, turns out I don't have a cast iron cook stove in the classic sense. What I have is a tin box with a cast iron top. Apparently back in the day Majestic was kind of the Harbor Freight of wood stoves. Bottom line the stove isn't worth restoring unless I have a deep emotional bond with it - which I don't. It's kind of homely and ragged around the edges but it still works (which is a pretty good description of me, too) so I'll keep it and use it in its present condition and let the next generation figure out what to do with it.
