I'm cleaning my parts for parkerizing and dissassembled the front sight assy. Left the garage for a while and when I came back I noticed a "Gunk Trail" leading away from the front sight block on the clean towel it was on. I guess when I took it apart I assumed the pin was peened in place and would not come out. Wrong. The cleaner must have done it's thing and let loose when my back was turned and poped out. Unfortunatly I can't find the damned pin and I don't even know what it looks like to look for in my messy garage! Not going to stop me from finishing the gun tonight though, I'd always planned on using the date of manufacture as the serial number and 060606 will be great.
