Good Day Guys,

Since CMP has had all of those M1 carbines, my Dad and I have filled out our collection. Now I need enough mags for the family.

The best buys are aftermarket 30 rounders that are not military.

Are these any good? Or is it better to hold out for military surplus?

The price dif works to 20 - 30 bucks a mag?

I need about 15 - 20 mags so the price makes a difference.

I know the Carbine is not much in stoppingpower, but for the little ones in my family it is a perfect weapon.

My .02

The CMP has/had a couple of carbine articles on their website, one delt with magazines. Most view the aftermarket magazines as junk.
