So my question is who was AEG?

The Department of Defense Handbook (MIL-HDBK-1461A) lists the code AEG as: American Cutter and Engineering Corp..

However SB 9-35 lists the code AEG as: American Aggregates corp.

Information I found does not list AEG as a M1 Garand clip manufacturer but they do list AEC (Aggressive Eng).
