I am trying to remove my A6 jacket's bearing so I can put on the appropriate blank firing adapter. Soaked in Krano oil and everything else I can think of, will not budge. Any ideas? Thanks. Matthew
You need to knock that split part of the ring back out of the notch so it is relatively flush/concentric with the ring and clear of the notch. Then it should be possible to break the bearing free. Use a screw driver blade or something sturdy that you can fit in there and tap it with a hammer to clear the notch. I have found a strap wrench works good to turn bearings and boosters, but it ain't gonna move while the ring is staked in. New rings are available if needed from the major suppliers.
