Hi guys i just recieved a m2 tripod from oow i am having trouble getting the traverse bar to lock when i first got it i had it locked now it seems to be binding about 1 and a half inches from lockup this is happening with the gun on or off also its a evans tripod thanks any input appreciated i think i can force it but want to make sure before i go that route.

I got i just forced it it didnt seem to bad but is this correct or is something wrong

bar adjustment

comike, at the end of the traverse bar there is a nut, that can be turned in ore out, before you do this, you first need to loosen the bar from the leg on that end, iff the t&e bar seems to ''short'' you can make it longer by turning the nut out, but my experience is that any tripod needs to close very tight, Iff you can do this with your two hands I should leave it the way it is now

I had the same problem w my m2 when I got it...I had 'junk" (sand and dirt! siria? egypt? lebanon? ) in the head where the legs open out to the side . cleaned it ,no problem'o

Thanks guys yeah i got it seems too tight the nut is in all the way in but it is tight ill double check the head to see if there is any dirt in there i appreciate the info.
