I need to find someone getting rid of an M2 for less than a gajillion dollars. I'm not rich and would like something that looks like an original without the original price. Does anyone know of one for sale?

I ordered one of the OOW tripod for $600.

They are listed "very good" in reality there on "fair"

The pintels are either new, repro, or reparked....fine by me.
The T&E are good.
The tripod themselves are very rough.

The 1st I got had a welded up head making it difficult to lock open the the legs and the held had alot of the data stamped out.
I sent that back for a 2nd one....which was not much better, possibly worse. I sent that one back too.

$600 isn't a bad price....but I wanted something mechanically/structurally nicer.

OOW description is not accurate and should be changed.

OOW as a company did an excellent job with the returns.

I think my next tripod will be an TNW M4....bit pricey but it looks nice.

I bought one of Allied Armament's M2s. I was very impressed. It's a ringer for the GI M2, right down to the graduated traversing bar, which is also adjustable.

to the original poster of this thread: you cant go wrong here for $150 on an econopod from BOB... mine looks pretty darn good in those pix.
