I am trying to get a 7.62x54R conversion kit to run in a 08-15. The trigger lever in the 1910 lock does not catch the trigger bar. The gun runs fine in 8mm. Anyone know where I can get a 1910 trigger lever to work with?

There is no other handsear that is long enough. The end of your 1910 lock handsear will need to have a small welded extension added and then ground back to the correct length to function with the 08/15 trigger bar.
Yes, but that damages the trigger bar which is an original MG08 part. The trigger bar that is original to his gun has far more value as an orignal undamaged part in his gun than the value of handsear from a 1910 lock. As much as is possible I prefer not to damage major, original components when there are alternatives to doing so which is virtually all the time in my experience. The damage to the original parts must always increase, or be a benefit to the value of the gun or parts rather than a decrease. His original gun and all its parts should remain orignal and undamaged when assemvled as a standard 7.92MG0815 in my opinion.
