My uncle called me asking if I was interested. Someone in his circle has, as he described; "a 1945 Italian 7.7mm gun in pieces". The owner is interested in having someone build it or sell it if cost is prohibitive. I'm told there might be paperwork with it. Big emphasis on might. Anyway, I'll be looking the parts over but I'm unsure what model it is since I've never looked into WWII Italian firearms. If it's a Breda SAFAT, what would the current value be if it's a DEWAT, acceptable parts kit, or useful as a dummy? I'll try to get pictures when I see it.
Didn't know availability was limited. It's not a complete gun. No receiver. Parts kit at best. I know very little about this gun so I need to find a parts list or something so I can determine what parts are there. The barrel and a few other parts are in poor condition externally. Pitted deeply as if they were submerged in water for some time. Some parts look excellent for 75+ years old.
If you decide to sell it, please post on forum with pictures, I would be interested in it also.
