Gentlemen, I have this item that I am selling for a friend. I will offer it here first, but intend to put it on gunbroker this weekend, if it generates no interest here.

This is the Philadelphia Ordnance item they refer to as an 80% receiver. I believe it is intended to be suitable for a "dummy" mock up as is, with relatively minor work. I can't say how suitable these are for an enterprising machinist to finish out in either semi or, for an SOT, into a post sample. Here is their site listing: MG-42 – Philadelphia Ordnance

Their retail is $795, and I am asking $695 shipped. I don't really know anymore than I have posted here, but will field any questions if posed, as best I can. As can be seen from the pictures, it is in parkerized finish. Never been fitted to any parts, so it is pretty much new condition.

Thanks to Karl and Dan. Hadn't even thought about weapons guild, that's a great help. I was considering a post at G503 too, as that might be another good market. I just wanted to try here first, given this forum is my mainstay. Karl, it's much appreciated!

Imagine how lucky I got when a Tank museum was built 30 minutes from home ?
I've built a bunch of display weapons for them to show to the public. All inert, but (hopefully) good enough to hand to a Veteran and he wouldn't know it

.Except the BAR 'cause it only weighs 10 pounds ( airsoft based)) They have some amazing programs there and a fantastic volunteer force to keep them rolling. I've been seen driving their Stuart tank and M-20 "Greyhound" as well, still can't stop smiling....
