Has anyone used Norrells Moly Resin in the gray-black color for a finish on the 1919?

I was just wondering if it was close to an aged parkerized look.

I have use moly resin many times for an AK finish and love it. Was wanting to know what color would closely match the aged look.

Same here, I have used Norrells Moly Resin on many AK builds in Flat Black & Semi Gloss. To match the color on a 1919 build would probably be relatively easy if you paint the entire gun with a color that they offer that is closest to the existing color that you want to achieve. Moly Resin is available in almost any color for military weapons. I am going to try to Parkerize my first 1919 build & if it doesn't come out like I want it, I will paint over the park with a Flat Black Moly Coat. The park will give the Moly Resin a great base to adhere to.

Hey, where do you get that stuff?? I think that that sounds like just the thing for the cradle on a 1917 tripod...

You can buy it straight from the dealer only. Google up Norrell and you can get their website to buy what you want and need. I have purchased from them before with no problems.
