Mom-in-law called about 8 pm yesterday. Marie is a small 82 year old. Apparently the neighbors bull broke into her pasture.......again. She wanted my wife to 'bring the biggest gun you have and kill this bull!!!!!'. After the phone chat, my wife told me that her mother had gotten her 30-30 Marlin out and just at dark went to look for the bull herself. Imagine this picture .........a very small 82 year old in a high temper with a flashlight, cane, umbrella and 30-30 wading the mud after dark looking for a bull to shoot!!!!!!!!

Frankly I don't think I'd want to be any wheres close to that situation, at 82 her eye sight can't be that good, at sundown, in the rain, I think of the old lady in "Any which way but loose" Leave a poor defenceless old lady all alone!

Don't be so sure.,... Linc,.. My Granny just passed last July at 101,.. and she was driving up to the age of 97 (yes, in Louisiana you can drive at that age). And a real hellraiser too.

I took the guns away from her pre katrina, just to be safe.
