I finished my semi auto 1910 maxim per SHERMANS design and it lives, well almost since I have not actually had a chance to shoot it yet but all indications are that it will work just fine, let me know what you think.

...I saw it in the flesh...!!!

Went down to get some help from Brian....and saw the Maxim. WOW....!!!! It was BEAUTIFUL !!! Mounted on an original Sokolov mount, it looked like it just came out of a movie set. Now you guy's leave Brian alone...he's got a lot of work to do....for me....LOL.....(Psssst...keep bugging him for a build party...LOL)

Well Brian, now that you've helped on one and built one on your own, how many days would the build party or build encampment take ??? This isn't a 1919 hammer and rivet build is it ??? It sure does feel good the first time it "clicks" and then resets, makes all the work worth it. Steam, with the cold weather it may take 2 1/2 belts to really get 'er really going but you'll love it.

Be sure and take lots of photos of it steaming, start out with the fusee at about 8 pounds and remember we had to spray that rusty Russian heavy ball with WD 40 to keep it from ripping cases in half. Have fun, Lonnie
