Howdy everyone,

does anyone have a windage screw and knob they would be willing to part with? I have tied all the parts houses and no luck.

A fellow reenactor broke mine by dropping my gun, also bending the rear sight mounting. Any advice on fixing the rear sight bracket? can I heat it and bend it back into shape or will this risk fracturing it?

thanks

KMP has the screw/knob/detent/pin as a kit on there website.

I've had good luck straightening small bends in the bracket with a Big Cresent wrench. ( no heat)

These were only bent a few degrees though.

I should add ...these were straightened prior to assembly of the receiver....so much easier to clamp the lsp down and nothing to interfere with fitting the wrench on the sight.

Other than the fact that it's hard on the finish of the gun, if an existing build that's parkerized, I would say consider using a torch as it can help bend the beast more easily. Really depends on how bent it is.
