Welll,....I can see why you would want to remove/repair/re-rivet the ammo can mount. I took one off to do the same thing and just drilled out the rivets and replaced them after repair. Easier after you take the side plates apart... Have done (4) of these tripods and wish I could find some more...they sell quickly.
