Are you loading with two loops first with your links ?
It has been noticed in the past the 3-4 burst and stop is because of feeding the links the wrong way in 1919`s and M2/3`s , a good friend had the same problem with his New CWA M3 build (semi) it would fire 4 shots and stop ,left me scratching my head (i automatically load two up the "ramp" without thinking ) .

Well at a shoot at Ft Drum he got embedded in 2nd CAV gun trucks readying for deployment he called me and i told him to get a Gunny to help . He handed the Gunny the belt one loop first and the Gunny said "Give me the Right end of the belt " ,he did and it never stopped !!
The young`ins could not believe a civilian could own a 50 in semi and they ran the heck out of it :rofl::rofl::rofl: !! He went to the shoot with 300 live rounds and left with 300 live rounds :rofl: !!

Now with the Izzy modified 1919`s some will run either way Two loops or One loop up the "Ramp" . The pitch changes with the belt upside down not a lot but enough ...

I am not conversant with the A/NM2 but i have a sneaking suspicion this is where your problem lays ..... Let us know if it fixes your problem !!

No running 2-loops first ,, Was reading that in a different post that his seam to run better backwards,, But to answer your question 2-links are on the trunnion. . Now my linker may be seating the round to deep in the link as i was reading. Something to try.. Thanks For your reply

Also, check to see that the rounds presented for extraction from the belt loop are not getting jammed too tight between the top of the boltface and the inside of the forward cartridge stop. If so, relieve the rear face of the stop slightly and only slightly and test. The rounds must be in contact with the “stop” and at the right distance between the boltface and stop for reliable extraction from the loop.
