Utimate "Home Build"

I've been following the thread on this over on Gunco. And "It Don't Get NO Better Than This"!!!!! Actually the only FALO part there is the front handguard. The internals are all AK47 (seriously modified) and fitted to a scratch built receiver made from 1 1/2" square steel tubing. They're also inverted to use the MG1 top cover feed tray and the
8MM DM1 links to feed 762X39. The barrel is a Bren, buttstock is AR15, and the gas/recoil system is all one off. There are three of these running so far, and they work quite well evidently. The original gun was designed/built by "Sharpsshooter" and this one was done by "Dbltapme" (Super/Engineer/ Machinist)on Gunco. "Cntrailrider" built the third example. The engineering/execution evident in all of them is really impressive to say the least. Got my attention sufficiently, that I have two variations of it under contruction, to add to my ever growing collection of "Weird Al Yankovich" projects!!!!:D :D

Thanks,
Emory Jones

A bit further down the road probably

There are just a bunch of folks that want the "Engineering" to build these. The originator SHARPSSHOOTER5090 has posted that he wants to get some RPK parts and build the least difficult version possible, using as many standard parts as is feasible. Then do a "Tutorial" for the troops top follow. Some talk of a potential "Unfinished Receiver" as well. The gun shown above is a serious engineering and machining exercise, done by, no doubt, a "Pro", not something lending itself to the average home build criteria. However the gun built by Cntrailrider, is done in a very "Home Doable" format, and runs and looks super nice to boot. Not sure, but from the posts, it would appear he didn't use mill nor lathe etc. to build his gun. There was even some discussion of a possible "No Weld" way of doing it, all bolted together. Wow!!!
So, gather up your parts and get ready, there will be a bunch of these built as time goes along. I can't wait to get get my "Heavy" pattern version gun "Cranked" up!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

Thanks,

This may prove to be the best year ever...
A 1960,s Israeli FALO HB assembled with a Third Reich designed MG3/MG42 top cover,Hk type fire control lower?, topped off with a real loud muzzle brake...Wait! add an Galil type folding stock! ....how clever

this is the work of a Certified Genius or Authentic Wacko
ANYBODY have the link to this build thread on Gunco or elsewhere??
