I've visited his site a few time in the past looking at all the information here. During that time I've also seen the M1919 and all the other parts kits either dry up or get very expensive. So I got a M1919 .308 kit a few months ago. I've sent the internals out so I can make me a nice semi. Seems like a easy build.

I've been look at the site for a while, lots of good info. I think I will work on the M1919 this winter. Definitely seems like a straight forward build. I recently did a semi MG42 and getting everything together for a semi Bren.

MG42 and Bren are FAR more difficult builds. Every build requires a new skill set. For the 1919 family its quality riveting. I've done a ton of builds and always use an air rivet gun. it does take practice to master this. many that just do one build use a Plinkers rivet jig. Most get a great rivet job right out of the box with this tool.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of great very knowledgeable fellas here.

I had a buddy make me a bucking bar to use on the build. I also bought an extra set of rivets to practice on. I think it will be a fun build. I've done some semi AK's but those rivets are alot easier. The M1919 rivets are definitely alot healthier.

I think the most important part of any build is all the reading/research needed before doing anything. I have done that since sending my internals out.

I thought the most difficult part of the MG42 build was getting the measurements right. I converted everything to the metric system because it seems more user friendly. I did it all with a drill press, angle grinder, dremil and my Mig welder. I saw a build tutoral where the rail rivets we're put in place, then welded rather than crushed. I did mine that way. I think it kept the receiver nice and straight so the bolt slides in the rails perfectly.

APEX Gun Parts is also located in Colorado.
We don't have a store front, but if you call Customer Service you can arrange to pick up your order in our lobby.
Enjoy building your Browning!

Apex is definitely a great resource for you. And welcome to the site, where you will find all the help and advice you need. And some you don't need, lol. Certainly, the Browning is a fairly simple build. You can go the pneumatic rivet gun method, the Plinker's fixture with a press, or even hand pound the rivets if you prefer. I do domed rivets with the Plinker's, flush ground rivets on hammer and anvil, the old fashioned way. Practice well and you can do a very nice job of it, and have a build you are proud of.

I'm definately familiar with Apex. Got a bunch of AK, M53, and Uzi parts from them along with other cool stuff. I did talk to an Apex dude at the Tanner gun show earlier in the year however I don't remember his name. He talked me into signing up for their newsletter. That has been a real problem because I keep buying stuff from them

I live in Parker although I have been working out of state for the last few months. I hope to take the coldest part of the winter off because I have a bunch of builds I want to do.

I just got my internals back from 30calgunner and they actually look new. He did a crazy good job on them. I found his number on this site and I called him right after I opened the package from Sarco. Probably should have done my research before I called him because I had no idea what the parts looked like. Had to send him a picture of everything and have him tell me what was what. It was actually kind of embarrassing. I just wanted everything ready for my build when I start. I have since started reading everything I can on the M1919.

I am getting everything together for a Bren MkII semi build. Always thought they look badass. Got an older parts kit that isn't all melted to crap. Also have a nice center section with the magazine well intact. It's going to be a winter project. I also did a semi M53/MG42 during a two week break I had. Used the tutorial on the BRP website. It's very straightforward and easy to follow. I haven't fired a live round yet, just a cartridge with a live primer. I also ran through some dummy rounds. I used a cold bluing on it for now in case I have to tweak it or use my Mig on it. It's probably the coolest build for far.
