Hey friends! My first post here. I'm in the market for a 1919 but I don't have the time to research how to build one nor the time to actually build one. I would like to buy a complete ready to run rifle. I saw that Ohio Rapid Fire sells them for $1200 & Allied Armament has them for $1300. Who makes a better rifle or are there other brands to look at. What are some things to look for/stay away from? Thanks in advance!

Heres the quote of his last post, should answer most of your questions. Yes he can build you a complete gun, and in my opinion one of the best out there. You can call or email, i prefer email as it doesnt interrupt someone in middle of work.

I would like to thank everyone for there kindness during my time of grief.
I am back working every day. Thanks everyone for your business in the past and I hope to continue to serve the shooting community in the future.

1919a4 kits 385 shipped. KMP discount on trigger, sear, and sideplate if you purchase the parts from KMP.

Complete 1919 set up in 308 1200. These guns are all testfired and do not leave here until they function properly. Lifetime guarantee on workmanship.
If you would like the gun in 8mm 215 extra or 30-06 185 extra.

1919 shop service I will build your 1919 if you have all of the parts including sideplate, trigger, and sear from KMP for 500. This includes parkerizing and testfire. Shipping extra. I have sideplates, triggers, and sears available at 150 for the sideplate and 100 for the trigger and sear set.

I rebuild and repair all class 2 firearms. Call for quote on a particular firearm.

I wish i had the beans to buy another one of his builds before all the kits dry up. Man i wish i had found this forum and asked the same question before buying my first 1919, would have saved alot of headache.

theres a bunch of options out there.

You can get a mg42 AA pod converted to hold the 1919 for 100-200 bucks. I like the height but i have had problems with the legs coming unlocked while shooting. There are ways to stabilize it though.

Original m2 pods can be gotten for a price. A few members here make reproduction m2s for pretty good prices, check out ironcreations, aw-sim and badger bob for one of those. I personally have one made by ironcreations and it is a VERY well made tripod thats looks very close to an original. If lowest possible price is the mission than badger bobs econopod is a good place to start.

Or you may even consider throwing the A6 kit on (shoulder stock, bipod and carry handle) while shopping around. 1919_4_ME is making some awesome mounts for A6 style shooting. He also makes a bunch of different tripod style mounts that are badass.

heres a couple pics, click to enlarge.

A6 kit on

Heres my shorty mcguire build on a ironcreations m2 pod and 19194ME adapter (love this friggen gun)

McGuire is the only one

John has built my last 8 guns ( 2 more in progress) with not so much as a burp. The only gun I had trouble with is a Ohio Rapid Fire. 30 calmachinegunner had to fix the trigger system.

BTW John's guns are guaranted for life, no body else can say that!!!!, I believe. He builds faster than anyone, period and testfires everything. From what I've hear thats unheard of :p;)

New to the sport? Do yourself a favor..... buy a "NEW McGuire gun"...Do'nt buy someone else' s problems...."Sweetness of a good deal soon pales when you have a problem". Been there, done that, twice.

Learn to headspace, use the right links ( issy all the way) and your "GOLDEN"

The advise on this board is great. Take it.

Tripod....(I own many) .I'd go with the 1919_4_me Version 2...standing is so much more fun that sitting on your butt. No brass or links to chase either.
