Check out the parking section at www.projectguns.com. I use a turkey fryer as my burner and it holds the temperature really damm good.. buy stainless equipment and use distilled water to mix the solution...

umm parking is not brain surgery or rocket science... I thought it was but trust me its not once you do it your gonna want to park every gun you have. just make sure that you do an initial degrease boil rinse and clean/ blast aND DONT TOUCH THE PARTS WITH YOUR HAND/ next have your solutions ready to go and have a seperate water rinse tank boiling to maintain temperature and thats it..

I have only done homebrew, so I don't know if you need to first feed the solution with manganese/zinc/etc. All you need is rusty tools to practice on, a candy thermometer, and something to suspend with. I got heavy-gauge chromed wire coathangers at walmart and bent those to suspend parts.

just mixing and heating will not do. if you got brownells park solution they send instructions with it. you will have to age the solution for the best results. see instructions...not a big deal. the atomized steel you are supposed to use can be substituted for auto motive brake rotor/drum shavings, any auto shop with a brake lathe will be glad to give all you need plus some. now if you use some of the "other" park solutions out there they may differ on actual use..and initial setup my .02 from 20+ years of parking experience:) oh and dont just pour the shavings etc into the mix, use a coffee filter and tie it up........

lettering paint

Most of the larger gun supply companies sell whats called a "lacquer stik", I think I got mine from Brownells,I got mine to do the dash knobs on my half-track but I also did my 1919 and it looks great, you just rub it over the lettering ad wipe it off, ads a nice touch!

I use the model airplane paint called "sig dope" its hot fuel proof so it wont come off using most gun cleaning solvents, or just about anything else. use an old credit card or the like, dab it on one end and spread it over the area you wish to highlite. let dry for a couple minutes and use a thinner or solvent to wipe off the excess my .02:)
