Just picked this up today. Its actually Oil, Lubricating for Aircraft Instruments and Machine Guns. The manufacture date is May 1943 and its a bit more than 3/4 full.

Thats a cool find, and it's in great shape for such an old can, would be agreat addition to a transit chest.
