Hey guys what do you think?

This is the only chance I have to bead blast my 1919 but I can't park-it right now, So can I cover it with oil after blasting and still park-it later without have troubles. Thanks for your in puts! :confused:

Don’t oil it. If you store it in a dry place (not your basement), there shouldn’t be too much surface rust in a week or so. You can clean that up with a Muriatic acid bath (less than $6.00/gal at a Lowes or Home Depot) just before Parking. I always do it anyway. Be sure to rinse it very well to neutralize the acid. Just a thought.

yea dont oil it it will seep into all the plate seams and you will never get it degreased enough...if you have a 20mm ammo can you could put it in that and put a bag of dessicant in there with it close the lid until time to park..just a thought.....:)

guys the way to get oil off before parking is to boil in TSP and water for about 20 min rinse then park, it gets all the oil out of any crack or nook ,i have been using this method for a very long time and never gotten a bad park yet to date
