Petition to drill here now

2nd there is so much oil up there we didn't have the equipment to map it properly.
On the surveys i was on paid for by the Feds they would look at them and say WTF is this ? this is incomplete !
I looked at the little MIT pin head SOB and told him i didn't have the equipment to accurately measure some of these places.
He looked at me and said ,No Sh4t ?? You Will get it ,tell me what you need.
It was there in two days , $750,000.00 worth., nice stuff.
My seismograph trucks got larger thumpers and receivers because the ones on them would send the signal ,and it didn't come back.
My boss when he was younger ran trucks like that in the middle east ,he said they never had that happen there.
In other words ,these were some BIG ,MF deposits and they were deep.
The guy who took my place told me they still do not completely know how much is there ,and we have only mapped 25% of the area they want to drill in ,now you tell me we are running low on oil .
And i know just the fella to call and get you a wonderful job sitting in a truck looking at charts.

Or when you align your dish ,and send this to Houston and have them come back saying ,U715 Alpha ,please calibrate and send another scan ,this one seems to be in error.
Or make you get up at 4:00 AM and go back out there on your day off because this isn't what cooperate was expecting .
If we are running low on oil it is because someone wants it that way ,not because we don't have it.
And 2nd old buddy ,if another country wants oil ,you are in a Baaaad place to be.

2nd , i remember i was going to meet up with you in Fairbanks and buy you a Steak dinner . We were going to a gun show the next day and you said you would get back with me,,,Remember ??? The truth was that i had lost two guys the week before ,one medical the other a transfer.
What i really planned was me and a few big dudes were going to Shanghai your young ass and take you back with us.
Really i was going to see if you would sign on , Operations have moved North of where i was ,so the Winter would suck for real.

2nd i never understood why the tree huggers were so avid about not Drilling up there , the pipeline has saved more Animals than it has hurt.
It gave BLM roads that were not there before and the tax payer didn't have to pay for them.

Old coot i was thinking about you when i said Skeeters ,and i was going to say something about going out in a flat bottom boat and see crude bubbling up in the water.
OK Scotty , Mapping is what i did , in it you follow a Seismic vehicle that does the sounding ,some of these can weigh 30 tons or more ,ours were 20 ton Unimogs. I followed in the lab ,vehicle it had tracks ,the Unimog was 4x4.
Anyway ,the seismic or ,Thumper, has these large pads on hyd. that you lower to the ground ,then you compress them against the weight of the Thumper .

At that point an intense magnetic charge is released downward from a Magnetron, sort of like sonar in water ,then my computers would track its decent into the rock formations and wait for a return signal.
The downward path of the signal will be at a certain speed through different types of rock formations ,then radically different through fluids or formations with fluid.
Oil or oil in rocks reacts to the magnetic field of the pulse differently than water so there is no mistaking it.
This part is called pinging , as the Field of the pulse decays ,that is sounding.
When the field hits a large deposit ,the decay is rapid in oil ,you monitor that decay until it shrinks again telling you the depth of the reserve ,or oil rich formation.
Decay is rapid in a reserve ,and if your equipment isn't large enough ,then your ping isn't strong enough to tell how deep the reserve is before it fades.
Your computer is also watching the halo of the decay ,in this it tells you if you are only on the edge of the reservoir, and the free halo tells you in which direction to move next. Normal range on our halo with our pulse was 200yds fade out.
Then you would move in the direction the computer said ,over 400yrds to achieve overlap.
You would do this until the ping and the halo had drawn out a picture of the size and depth of your target.
Then i would super impose it on a geological map showing exact location and store it on my hard drive to be sent by satellite to Houston.
We had a good idea of the formations below us ,but if you hit something like iron ore ,then the other method is explosives ,although not real accurate ,or isotope pinging. depending on the ore ,several radioactive compounds were used ,although reliable ,they cant achieve much range in depth .
In that case you use microwave pulse imaging ,and that cost big bucks ,and is used a lot off shore.
Well i hope i answered your questions ,this is what i did , the people who hate us and want you to walk everywhere use the Thumpers as a real target about the destruction of the land. Ignorance rules the day ,simply because they stand near a Thumper when it fires and it sounds like a Cannon ,and the ground vibrates. In their little minds it seems like we are shooting the Earth.
I guess ignorance is bliss.
In the time i was up there doing this ,me and my crew and four other crews elsewhere didnt even put a dent in it.
Down here you can map out a reserve in 6 hours ,there it could take you a month ,one single reserve ,moveing all around like that.
And Guys ,this wasnt all of ANWR ,this is the little tiny peice that they may allow us to tap ,about the size of a small county.
So next time you hear that we are running out of oil ,its BS ,ask Coot , the next time you put fuel in your car or truck ,remember who it is that is really costing you that $100.00. Remember who made you get rid of your nice SUV ,only to drive a little piss mobile .
So listen to the Sierra club ,or green peace ,and blame the Oil companys ,but why would an Oil company lie to you ,you buy the gas or you dont ,but has the Gov. ever lied to you ? who has the motive and who dosent ?

I know Rug ,i left tire and tread marks in the dirt and mud.
Green Peace was out there once filming us ,and the Caribou.
We had a box of corn flakes in the truck and one of the guys threw some to them.
Then more ,and more ,then the entire herd was following us ,sticking their heads in the trucks ,eating our peanuts ,bread .
Letting us pet them , this pissed off some girl from the Green Peace people, she came walking down the hill and the Caribou backed off.
Typical Environmentalist spill ,how we are messing up the land ,Global warming ,Blah Blah, and how they had been following that herd for days and trying to get in close ,and we messed that up for them.
Spanish kid on the crew said ,Hay lady ,i guess all you needed was some corn flakes,and i don't think they like people yelling either.

So we throttled up and started moving to get away from her and the herd followed us ?my God the evil oil field , i don't think they like those Green Peace people either ,they seemed all stressed out .
And the Caribou wanted to hang with us ,and every time we went to that field we took chow for the herd ,and they always would run up to see us.

It was the same thing with the pipeline ,remember how it was going to kill everything ,melt the snow packs ,drastically change the worlds environment.
Now as you drive down the road beside it ,all the critters are hanging out by it ,in the winter grass still grows under it ,so the critters have something to eat.
Well just like a Liberal , they always have a come back .
No it isn't a good thing ,it has altered the way they live ,they now are becoming weak and couldn't fend for themselves.
