Pintle Bolt/Ammo Can Holder

3788 Views 10 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  raysosc
Somewhere in the past I saw an ad for a replacement for the pintle
bolt, and it had a plate on the left side that you could hang an
ammo can from.

Anyone have info on these, tried them, or knows how to find
one.

thanks

Hmm someone sells a pintle bolt ammo can holder that is designed to work with the new 30 cal ammo cans. It does not have a plate but rather holes like the lid so you can slide the can in and then when you let it down it binds. Ill have to check my guns sites on my favorites list, might take awhile:rolleyes:
Ok hear it is, unfortunately this company is way behind on inventory because they are finishing a large military contract. They are supposed to be done in the next few months. I placed an order for some extended cocking levers from them and they said it would be a little while. Hope this helps.

 $85 dollars:eek: But on the brite side it looks very easy to make with what I have for tools:D I know that some of you guys cant afford a welder or know how to but if you can cut the parts you need with a hack saw there are welders or machine shops(check you local yellow pages) that will do it for you. You could pick up a oxy/mapp gas setup for bout $30.00 at Home Depot and braze the parts together-Good luck
I was gonna say, that looks like it would be pretty simple to make. Seen a lot more work go into something, sell for a lot less.
Yeah I hear that, someone else sells one for like $15 or $20 but I dont remember who. If I find the site Ill post it.

Robo
$15 to $20 sounds reasonable, But for $85  I will build my own.
For $85 dollars I could hire someone to hold the can everytime I went shooting. :D
I've already got a couple of other projects that I'm working on, but if there is any interest in this we could tool up to make a bunch. Let me know.

You can put me down for one if they're cheaper than
$85.

I was trying not to have to spend $170
for the dual ammo can holder write now.

With whats going on in the world, I think
I should get ammo and spare parts first.

But this little bolt thingy is half way there.
