ive got a build thread on this but cant find it here so here we will pick up and try to post some things people are asking for.

its the PIRATE PLINKER!!

a 7.62 x 25mm submachine gun converted to a legal semi auto..

ammo for this gun is about .09 per round... thats why its called a plinker!!

the round is the smoking hot 1645 fps tokarev pistol cartridge. folks if you dont think this is moving, then guns are not for you!! a .44 mag is usually about 1545fps! get the idea? its a .30 cal pistol bullet at damn near rifle speed and velocity. the russians used this as their bullet of choice for all submachine guns is WWII and up.

you can buy the parts kit for around $50!!

the conversion kit is around $200.

so for about $250 and some of your time you can have a legal kick ass gun to do with whatever you want.

this is the parts kit:

this is the parts you buy to build it:

this is what it looks like when its done:

see how close that pin retaining the firing pin is to the edge???

no issue as there is no weight or load against it, it just keeps the pin from falling out the back.... the pix isnt great so look close.

this should get most everybody going again and ask for what else you need.

Thx for the great help.

As far as legalities go, I assume all that old crap about mag capacity, gun weight and mag outside the grip don't apply anymore to this pistol??

its not an issue for most places...

now if your in OH like me you can thave more than 30 rnds in a mag...... or some stupid thing like that, heard it a million differnt ways.

weight is no problem neither is length, barrel or any of the other crazy stuff.

or if it is, no one has pointed it out...........

LOBO,

you must have a blocker on your com... cause i can see them. :)

they are all at photobucket, do you have that blocked?

the firing pin holder you asked about is in this pic.

Super thx Pirate. I see the pix from home sdk...must be blocked at work.

I see the little pin and approx location. I guess we have a floating firing pin cuz I don't see no spring.

Is there any way to take a photo thru the mag well or ejection port that shows about where the ejector is located? I know you told me right at the rear edge of the mag well, but a pic would be nice.

Look on the front of your digital camera and see if there is a little switch to do close-ups...try using that if it has it. Thx bro'.

nothing on the front..... but it does have that micro/macro mode...

its a 12MP camera so the pix are huge, its more about the poor lighting for photo taking in my home and garage. lol

No problem.

Man, I am stumped on the safety. I installed it with the FCG and it looks exactly like the pic in the tutorial, but it doesn't block anything. Regardless of where the thumb piece is moved it has no affect on blocking the trigger. There's no eccentric cam in the middle of the safety shaft to roll down and block the trigger. Is there some mod to the safety that I'm too dumb to see? Maybe a little pin or something placed underneath? Thx.

Ah hahhh. I gotta tell you, the FCG fits perfectly with the hole guides provided and this little rascal has a really nice trigger.

Moving forward.
