The Hungarian kits do appear to be brand new @ around $2,600. I don't think my tripod had ever been opened up. All matching #'s, unissued - perfect. The Romaian kits showed quite a bit of wear, don't come with as many goodies but are about half the price.
Assuming the barrel is okay, the Romanian kit should refinish to make a nice gun.
I guess you cant buy just the PKM receiver alone, only the completed gun?
