I bought this mount from a member a few years ago but forgot who. Anyways, is there a way to stabilize it. I was thinking about a strut from the center of the tripod to the back of the gun or something. I'd like to be able to move the gun around but have some resistance like a camera tripod. mount.jpg

It would be helpful to see the whole setup. Are you using a MG42 AA tripod with that?

I can’t remember who made them; I have one and it does have excessive movement.
If you hang an ammo can on the side it helps and I was thinking about adding a set screw so you can take some of the side to side slop out. I have found that if you don’t extend the tripod shaft its much better.
I like the freedom of movement and prefer not to lock down with a T&E. If you look at my setup I have a rear support shaft that I can set to different positions but still allows free movement.
I made it out of copper pipe very simple and has held up over thousands of rounds.

I ordered this mount last week hopefully it will work ok.
