Is there a good site that explains the semi build. Does anyone offer the bolt conversion? Can you build the thing using the tutorial of the pirate plinker? The plinker seems to have a different receiver tube. The build doesnt look too hard. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hope the mods won't get mad at me for the link to a different site, but here's good tutorial on the PPS43...

Nitegunner builds the pps 43 pistol

Pirate's plinker uses the PPS 43 kit as its base, but it is a different and unique gun in its own right. Best suggestion- build one of each, and then you can share ammo costs between them!!! :D

I have been sitting on one of these kits, looking for a good semi build and then this comes up. Who can tell me about this build and some more picks? How does it rate beginner/master crafstman?

Not to difficult

Its more difficult than an AK build but not very much just need to be able to do some lite welding Little rhody from this site does the bolt conversion I have a KP44 done also. I can post pics of what ever step you want you'll need a Remington 870 triggergroup & a receiver & trunnion to complete it

I'm on my way to diving into this project. Which receiver section do you recommend? The stenparts website has them for $50, but I'm not sure they have the SA insert. I've heard the wiselite ones are the way to go, but none of the websites tell you if they are wiselite receiver sections or not. Thanks for all the help.

I built

I built mine on a Stenparts receiver & welded in a blocking rail the stenparts is more acurate & original looking the wise lite ones have the blocking rail already pressed into them all the sites selling receivers besides stenparts are wiselite ones the ones that are flats are quite difficult to complete unless you make a die to press them out & eaven then youll have to demill all the riveted parts & reinstall them on the flat. hope this helps
