Hey Dano,

I know this is not what you want but for the price of an 80% receiver you can buy a functional upper from WLA (check Weaponeer.net) they had a group buy and I think there may be some left. InterOrdnance (www.IOinc.us) also sells their upper receiver with the trunnion and barrel already mounted, retail $249.00, but they go on sale every now and again for $199.00. The IO receiver is crude but if you are going for an SBR then making it look like a real PPsH is much easier, as the barrel extender would be simple to saw off AFTER BATF approval.

If you are hellbent on doing it yourself with the 80% receiver then Prexis has a great name: < www.Prexis.com >, also not as great a name but another choice is < http://www.coldsteelsolutionsincorporated.com >

Good luck/

The WLA "gunsmith special" is a real pain. The rear trunnion in mine was not 90 degrees perpendicular with the pivot pin and the front trunnion was so far out of whack that the barrel had to be bent, REALLY bent, in order to pass the barrel through it.

WLA makes some really nice stuff but, this is NOT one of them.

For what I paid for it, I could have bought a 100% assmbled and tested PPSh41-SA from Allied Armanment.

Do yourself a favor and buy one that is 100% complete unless you like dealing with such expensive hassles!

I forgot to mention that Cold Steel Solution not only has 80% receivers but also trunnions ($50) for the ppsh41, but I cannot attest to their quality.
