have this rear grip as in the pictures what would be the proper gun it was made for it has plastic removable grips as shown i could not find any markings on it any info would be appreciated thanks

Wood were the early version then platic came out for late/post WWII . NOS Plastic grip panels are still available. Replacement wood grips ones are all repros from what I can find now or well used orginal ones.

Coles had a bunch of wood grips made up for their 1917 backplates they are selling complete. Not sure if they would just sell a set of wood panels or not, but wouldn't hurt to ask. Also Ohio OW had some unfinished ones that they sell with the 1928 kits. They might be willing to give you a lead on the maker if nothing else.

NOS plastic are available from BMGparts.
