I see some sellers of tips/bullets will sometimes advertise .308/30-06 tips and sometimes not. I have not started reloading any 30-06 or .308 as of yet, but will do in the future. So, this may be a foolish question, but are ALL tips/bullets in .308/7.72 interchangeable with 30-06 tips/bullets in Ball, tracer, API? Or are there some problems here?

Basically, .30 cal is .30 cal,, I have loaded 30 06 150 gr bullets in 7.62x51. The only hitch is the 06 canalure is different than the 7.62 as the case length is obviously different. Some heads come with a double canalure. Poly has some that have two. If you are using the 06 in 7.62 you won't be able to crimp, unless you put a canalure on yourself with a tool. I just load em and shoot em. I have not tried un crimped in the 1919, but have shot them fine in my M1A and FAL. The bullet can be pushed into the case when its un crimped.

As long as the bullet is .308 in diameter they will work (both .308 WIN. (7.62 NATO) and .30-06 use .308 diameter bullets). I'd suggest getting a good reloading manual to help you out further.
