I bought some links advertised as IMI links. Upon arrival I saw they are actually Wells Marine 30-06 links. I want to use these for .308 and have hand loaded about a 100 rounds into them without difficulty. Will there be any feed problems using these links for .308?

They may work just fine. I used the .30 cal links with 308 and had no feeding issues. The only thing is the rounds are tight in the links and it tends to make the belt curl a bit. It's one of those things where one gun might eat them up, and another will throw fits. Just try and see.

But you might want to talk to the dealer about the fact that they sold you links that typically cost half the price of Izzy links. If you paid Izzy prices, they should send you double the quantity at least.

Some guns are more tolerant of these links than others. I've tried them in my gun, and was not happy with the results. I might have been able to work around the problem (too tight a grip for my extractor to deal with), but I have enough Izzy links to serve my purposes.

when i bought a second set of izzy links from Rguns it had some grey parked ones mixed in that are marked B6 - i assumed these are 30.06 links. I needed to get on the road so i just left em mixed and loaded up some ammo for a shoot the next morning - they ran no problem. Maybe since they were mixed with izzy links that kept the linker from loading them too far in. Either way, the only thing i noticed is the linker needed a slight bit more pressure to load the belt when compared to an all izzy marked one - but they ran fine so i couldnt complain.

not to get off topic but does anyone know what the B6 marking stands for?

I haven't checked current prices - but the last time I bought links, there was quite a difference in price between IMI and .30-'06 links - with IMI being more expensive. If you paid for IMI and received .30-'06, the seller probably owes you some money.
