Is it possible to add to or change a persons post without it looking like an addition?

yep, on certain forums the moderator has a choice whether or not the "edited by" line shows up on the bottom or not. Explained further on your other post. It is decided by a checkbox on the post being edited whether or not there will be an indication that is has been edited. On certain forums this is true, but on some others it is not, on a SMF forum i admin it does not give me the choice, but on another type it does.

Sure, I do it all the time. If when I re-read a post and see I misspelled something, I just go back in, edit and save.

Correct. The short answer is yes. The rest of that answer is if you pull that crap here, you will most likely get your fingers broken by one of the mods.

i dont see that happening because you would have to be a mod in the first place to edit someone elses post.
