I was going to the Buffalo Pit (Illinois) to do some shooting with the AR15.com guys and I really needed a tripod for the 1919. I did a search in the basement and found some square tube and a small piece of plate. It took a few hours to plan it, cut it, weld it, and paint it but it worked really well!

The front leg folds flat so it takes up less room in the back of the old DODGE RamCharger.

Still unfinished but shoots really good. This is how it sits on the bench at the ranges I go to.

I just can't believe this much fun is so CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!

We go out to Buffalo Range during the week and take our 1919's with Emory's crankfire. Just look for where there is a space between the tables with the orange plastic netting with the piles of empty 7.62X54R and 8mm shell casings all over the ground, they know us there because we usually draw attention firing 100 round strings. I like your cheap but functional tripod. We use the MG42AA tripods because were too old to be laying on the ground. If we do not take out the 1919's it feels like we are missing something! Have fun!

Tripod

As the fly on the mirror said "Looks good to me".

You don't have nearly enough beer for relaxing AFTER reloading.

Used to travel to Buffalo Rock years ago before the place was leveled in an explosion Sparky and his daughter were killed in the blast.

I started going there when he ran the business out of a barn which caught fire and burned down, then the new building, where he had his sales room and reloading operation blew up.

Something bad wrong happened in the reloading area.
