Yup - anything tube fed is dangerous without a good crimped bullet, and even WITH a crimped bullet if they are pointed bullets.

even a seating die with a crimp feature itself would have prevented this, if it's not good enough VS your gun/load is $20-24 worth your hand possibly your life?

Unless you have a Rem 14-141 where it was made to get around this. BUT I still didn't trust this feature,yet the damn things wouldn't cycle any bullet with a flat tip .

That is why they make the elastomer tipped ammo these days ,so you can not get a stack detonation in a tube fed or lever gun !
