My method of removing the RSP rivets
I carefully ground the rivet heads down until they were almost flush, close to paper thin. The heads are almost symetrical with the shank of the rivet, so I center punch as close to center as possible. I drill out the rivet with a 1/8" dia. drill. I then punch out what is left with a good punch. The heads are thin enough that they shear off and the rivet shank punches out. It doesn't take more than 10 to 15 minutes and I don't have an grinding scares on the bottom plate. HTH
