Anybody have clarification on the rumor Sarco's lost their FFL due to missing guns and cant have sales past Friday April 5th. Their website is down and the phone went unanswered today.

That would be a huge blow to the shooting public. I would think a suspended license would be the norm while an investigation went on, but who knows these days.....

Anyhow, I hope it's just a rumor, and no more.....

Can't be true......

WHATTTTT.....come on now....SARCO???? We're talkin' about SARCO now,
a High End Business....in an Upscale neighborhood of New Jersey....a business that has over time been a Model of Efficiency and Organization. Their Inventory cleaned....packaged....and stored by computerized location....
photographed and well presented in the glossy pages of their ever updated catalog. Always cheerful Customer Service personnel ready to go the extra mile to assist you..??? THIS CAN'T be the "SARCO" the rumors are refering to that "MIGHT" have misplaced a few weapons and upset the BATFE...????
Its another SARCO I'm betting...........

I called yesterday afternoon to place a non-gun order after checking the website for the part number.

The kind lady on the phone said they could not take an order because they were doing inventory. She said I could place an order toward the end of this week.

Made an order last Wed., and now I can't see if they charged my credit card because my bank was taken over by Bank of America. Just ordered parts only they had, 30-06 headspace springs, buffer disks etc. Hate being in limbo.

Their best bet is get the heck out of NJ! Val Forget started a second
company in W. VA. Sarco should move either to Virginia or West Virginia,
they would do better.
This is a state issue from what was written not a ATF issue.

Folks--

Welcome to the Garden State!!

Just a few facts about renewal of NJ State Retail Firearms Sales License. On renewals you have to go before a local county judge for license renewal (every three years) regardless on whether you have missing firearms or not. The NJ license is separate from the BATF license in the inspection and renewal process but are tried together to conduct business. In other words you have to have both the Federal license in order to renew the NJ license and conduct business. If lose one than you are out of business. The same license procedures applies to gunsmiths. I've had both licenses for over thirty years and the NJ State Police and BATF have been very helpful and courteous. I did not have any of paperwork out of order or missing firearms which probably would be a different story if I had. The local county judge if they can determine that the business is a danger to public safety (missing firearms and ammunition) can deny the renewal application. Effectively putting you out of business.
