What paint scheme should I use for the Ferret?

1) OD Green and Sand as used in BATUS Canada

2) Original OD Green and Sand including the black side bin with T29C painted on it as in my original service picture from 1972

3) British Standard the Dark Bronze Green

#3 all the way! That's my opinion on the matter! ;)

We're voting on the exterior color of the Ferrett right?

1) Robin's Egg Blue

2) Zebra stripes on top, cheetah spots on bottom

3) Hot pink with black polka dots

EDIT: Hilarious that I posted the above before you had even posted anything about the color.

I go with option #1, but I live in a sandbox (Phoenix).

Yep, it's working. I'm the outlier at the moment - the dark bronze green looks good. Figured this is what the first poll was going to be.

I would vote #1, but with the original photo I'd probably go with #2. #3 always looks good though!

Did that help?.....best I could do.

All of the schemes are cool, but actually being able to match its original pic? Very cool. The only caveat would be if the vehicle saw service in say the Falklands or N. Ireland with units it was assigned to, then I would consider the other schemes if it would put it back to how it appearred for a historic moment/period it was actually involved/used.

An original photo is hard to ignore. Or you could paint it in the colors of the British flag, like some MG, Jag and Mini owners do, like this:.

CaptMax SEZ: "UN Ferrets were actually white ...."

That's why I suggested: "How bout white with two blue twelve inch racing stripes front-to-back? USA international racing stripe colors! Nobody'd recognize you!?"
