Lots of opinions on saw cut receivers even though that was the way many were done for years.
Just scrap metal unless someone joins them together without semi mods or proper approval for a post sample.

Saw cutting was OK many moons ago. Now the regs specifically require a torch cut.

Not saying you couldn't get it past customs but I don't know that I would want to take the chance. Now that being said I think buying/owning one half of the receiver would be still be copacetic but both halves would wander dangerously close to constructive possession.

I had a topic on this a few weeks ago. The SG43 build has faded out of popularity, as has its build plans. Weaponeer.net has a small build section but they are light on critical dimensions. You can eyeball most of the build using the top cover as a guide, but you ABSOLUTELY MUST get the middle section correct for proper headspacing. Im not aware of any real blueprints or receiver drawings that are readily available. Id be happy to take pics on mine and send measurements, but be aware Im a garage builder and my results are far less accurate than a guy with a full machine shop.

There are still saw cut receivers floating around that were legal then and now. Its what you do with it that makes a world of difference.
If a receiver was saw cut years back and was legally destroyed then it still is today.

Greg Clark was a pro builder of this weapon. I suggest you buy his how to build CD
http://www.gunbuilds.com/cd.html
60 bucks seems a little outrageous. Maybe if he showed a tidbit of what he was providing, maybe a few sample pages Id be more willing to spend the money. Regardless, If his CD is as informative as stated, It would be a wise investment.

What dimensions are you trying to find? I dont have much info on these but it might help to post what you are looking for.

BTW I have been trying to find a rear sight. Does anyone know where to get one?

The center to center distance of the mounting holes.....
My friend is working on a KGKT and curious if the KGKT and the SG-43 hole diameter and spacing is the same. If so the KGKT mount can be used for weld positioning.

I've tried the old email I had for him but no response

Thanks Dwayne
