Sounds like a U Haul road trip and BBQ!
Now would be a great time to contact my customer service about buying a few of these pedestal mounts and arranging pick-up on site.

ALSO, just spotted a box of AN-M2 .30 caliber barrel extensions.

So, I found one odd lock frame.
It has a stubby "trigger" that pivots in the frame and cams a type of sear on the right hand side?
It smacks of "open bolt" design.
Anyone ever seen internal parts of a SA MG4?

Richard I have a few British open bolt parts and am a little familiar with them.
I too have internals for the .303 Browning.
The lock frame I have setting on my desk looks more like the parts we know.
It just has this odd trigger/sear arrangement.
I will have to get Sam to take pictures.

This is the Mark II .303 lock frame...

Can you imagine if you wait and they’re all sold when you check back.

Big question, are we shipping those MG-3 twin AA mounts or are you collecting them here?

You put it on a pallet and wrap it in plastic and I’ll send a truck to get it freight... would that work? All setup by the buyer.

These are too long to lay across a pallet, and too oddly shaped.
I think they have to be bolted on upright.
They also have a separate base with 4 horizontal stabilizing bars.
There will also be a box of steel stakes and some shoulder braces?
We had a brief discussion about these this afternoon, my Ops and warehouse leads are just too busy at the moment to wrap their heads around the shipping of these mounts.
They are going to need "special handling" to ship safely.
Currently these are attached/bolted to pallets, 2 or more per pallet, upright and banded.
I wish a had a crate big enough to hold these, and we have a yard FULL of (now) empty crates at the moment!

Whenever your ready I’ll take one complete one.

We can do two pallets and I’ll arrange freight, Mount them upright to the pallet bolted down and the other for spare parts. It’s how I ship my lathes and mills.

You can let the buyer figure out the freight pickup it would be easier that way for you but either way count me in for one complete one when you are ready.

I do have one pallet that already has 2 of the mounts strapped to it, both upright.
We shipped it that way from back east.
I would have to palletize the horizontal stabilizers and other pieces.
Do you have a "friend" looking for one and lives nearby?
Jeff and I have not talked about the retail price of these yet.

Yeah... so much depends on price.... how much do they weigh? NJ is only one state up but I expect the price is going to be over what I want to pay.

Richard, I'd be interested in 2 of the twin mounts (shipping to Arizona), can you let me know when you have a thought on pricing?

Thanks,

Looks like I shall have to have the MG-3 twin AA mount conversation with Jeff.
He was out today but will be in the office on Friday.

For reference we have noted a couple of these selling over the past year.
That is how long this deal has been in the works!

We will do our best to price these fairly.

Richard you always price fairly and I can only imagine what it cost to load, haul, unload and store 7 semi's full of this big heavy stuff not to mention the multiple trips it takes to put deals together. I can't wait to hear what else you found.

Richard thanks again for all you do!!
I will pass that along to all the people here who really make it happen for our customers!
My Operations Manager has to be really tired of running around on our forklift, and everyone else is working hard to get all the orders shipped and then spend the rest of the day sorting.
My Customer Service folks always impress me with how far they will go to assist our customers.

APEX is really the sum of all our people working together, and our customers who keep the doors open!
