Question regarding LEWIS gun butt plates.
If they have the patent dates impressed upon them, are they Savage made?

Richard
Found the answer to my own question!
If the patent dates on the butt plate are a single column, it is Savage made, if the patent numbers and dates are in 2 columns then it is BSA made.
I also learned that the butt assemblies on the LEWIS are Mark I, Mark I* and Mark II (depending on the enhancements)

Any Lewis .30 parts or accessories?
Not that I noticed, but when we go thru the bins and boxes that is when we will find anything unusual.
I am fairly certain there were no 30.06 magazines.

Today the WH5 crew were sorting 7.62x54r Finnish MAXIM barrels.
Those should be coming to us here at Stone shortly.

Can't wait to see what you found for Lewis and Breda 37 parts Richard. I love my crate for the Lewis mags I got from you guys. You always have the coolest stuff.
Here are a couple of "teaser pics" of the LEWIS drums in the fitted crates..

They were certainly well greased when stowed away..
