Putting this in this forum in order to get it on the main page. The guy that I've been sending stuff to in Iraq is coming home soon, and I just found a new home to send stuff to,, beats the hell out of a magnet on the tailgate.

I was sending stuff that you or I can walk into the local drug store and pick up on the way home,, deoderant, gummi worms, beef jerky, hard candy, etc.

SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS

Our troops need more than what we provide them for our nation's defense:

U.S. forces deployed overseas rely heavily on ATK armament and defense systems to fight the global war on terror but there is much more we can do as individuals to support our forces overseas. U.S. bases in theater have established Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) offices to provide soldiers with a few of the amenities we take for granted back in the States. There is a significant demand for books, DVDs and many other items to help our soldiers during the little time off they have, and to remind them that there are millions of Americans who support them.

One such base is Al Taqaddum, located approximately 100 Kilometers West of Baghdad. The MWR office there is requesting items that would be appropriate for young soldiers ages 18-30. If you have items you believe would benefit the troops, please put together a care package that can be sent to:

Sabine Glascoe
KBR/MWR (B6)
APO AE 09381

On behalf of our soldiers serving proudly overseas, ATK & Widener's thanks you for any assistance you may be able to provide.

If you haven't shipped to an APO before, grab a stack of USPS flat rate Priority Mail boxes and fill 'em up. It's amazing how much good stuff you can get into one and the shipping rate can't be beat.
Yeah,,, also, make sure to tell the USPS clerk that it is for the troops,, USPS has a special Priority box for APO addresses that is $2 bucks cheaper!
